Carolyn Church Obituary
Mrs. Carolyn Woodruff Church, age 66 of North Wilkesboro passed away after a battle with cancer, Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Wilkes Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held 11:00AM Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Scenic Memorial Gardens with Rev. Keith Elledge officiating.
Mrs. Church was born November 11, 1953 in Wilkes County to Roy Leonard and Mildred Elizabeth Johnson Woodruff. She received her CNA degree and worked at Wake Forest Baptist Health-Wilkes Medical Center for years. She retired from Lowe's Companies/Bud Group. She loved to do yard work with her flowers and humming birds. She enjoyed a good rook game.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Morris Church; and a brother, Clyde Ravon Johnson.
She is survived by a daughter, Marie Church Laws and husband Greg of Millers Creek; four grandchildren, Nicole Oakley of Raleigh, Branden Oakley and wife Sarah of Durham, Aubrie Laws of Millers Creek, and DJ Laws of Millers Creek; two great grandchildren, Kinslee Oakley and Jace Shelley; a sister, Fran Clanton of Millers Creek; two brothers, Thomas Woodruff and wife Linda of Hamptonville and James and Debra Woodruff of Millers Creek; and her best friend of 35 years, Susie Pardue of Taylorsville.
