Carolyn Foster Pardue

Ms. Carolyn Juanita Foster Pardue, age 92 of Wilkesboro, passed away Friday, August 27, 2021 at her home.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Brown, Dr. Rick Speas, and Rev. Dale Jennings officiating.  Ms. Pardue will lie in state in Mt. Pleasant Baptist Prayer Chapel from 12:00 pm until 1:30 PM.

Ms. Pardue was born September 11, 1928 in Caldwell County to Arvil Taft and Esther Gertrude Vickers Foster.  She was a retired bookkeeper at Mt. Pleasant/Foster Richardson Rest Homes and Foster Poultry Farm. She enjoyed traveling, her time spent outside working, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, James Clayton Pardue Jr.; one sister, Mary Frances Richardson; and two brothers, Ivan Grant Foster and William “Mack” McElwee Foster and wife Dare.

Ms. Pardue is survived by two daughters, Susan Fuller and husband, Eugene of Wilkesboro, and Sharon Phillips and husband, Terry of North Wilkesboro; seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Church and husband, Kenny, Tiffany Reece, Emily Mabrito and husband, Jeff, Heather Ward and husband, Jamie, Katy Hinson, and husband, Michael, Tanner Phillips, and wife Amber, and Bennett Phillips; sixteen great grandchildren, Kendall Reece, Grant Reece, Charlie Ward, Brady Ward, Connor Church, Savannah Mabrito, Mckena Church, Harrison Mabrito, Brenna Church, Emilia Mabrito, Tucker Phillips, Wyatt Hinson, Alivia Mabrito, Tate Phillips, Katherine Mabrito, and Karsyn Hinson; daughter in-law, JoAnn Pardue; sister in-law, Lavaughn Foster; and brother in-law, James Richardson.
