Caroline Dean (Hamby) Hussey

Mrs. Caroline Dean Hamby Hussey, age 82 of Wilkesboro, walked into the arms of her Lord that she has loved and served for many years and she is healed from dementia, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Ridge Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation. 

A family and friends service will be held in the spring.

She was born May 2, 1943, in Wilkes County to Arvis Clinton and Texie Hawkins Hamby. She loved her family very much. She will be greatly missed by many who knew her and loved her. She is spending a glorious first Christmas in heaven with her Lord and family that went on before her.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Archie Cline and her second husband Lyndon Hussey; a sister, Cassie Hamby Phipps, a brother, C. Everett Hamby; sister-in-law, Lucy Hamby; brother-in-law, Tommy Reece and three fur babies Droopy, Angel & Rusty.

Those left to cherish her memory, her daughter Lisa Cline Sheets and husband Mike of Hays, a son Ricky Cline of Roaring River; grandchildren, Joshua Johnson and wife Drew of North Wilkesboro, Ashley Johnson of North Wilkesboro, Connie Watkins and husband Matt, Tina Watkins and Harlie both of McGrady; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Isaac, Heather, Andy, Autumn, Bailey, Adie, Tony, Braxtin, Baker, Achilles and Arianna; sisters, Jewel Reece of Boonville, Denise Essex and husband Chuck from Dallas, OR; brother, Clinton Hamby of North Wilkesboro; sister-in-law, Vivian Hamby of Ferguson; brother-in-law, Chuck Phipps of High Point; her longtime best friend Betty Walker of North Wilkesboro; her two fur babies, Goldie and Peanut and a host of nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to Ridge Valley Nursing and rehab and Gentiva Hospice for all the love they showed to Caroline.
