Ms. Carole Jean Johnson Lovette, age 80, of Wilkesboro passed away Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Rose Glen Manor.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Pastor Joey Moore, Mr. Austin Lovette and Mr. Matt Lovette officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:45 until 10:45 AM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mountain Valley Baptist Church following the service at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel.

Carole was born on October 23, 1945, in Wilkes County to James Harrison and Sylvia Moore Johnson. She devoted her life to her family and enjoyed working in the yard, bird watching, and listening to music.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Clayton Lovette; son, David Lovette and brother, Steve Johnson.

She is survived by her son, Jim Lovette (Sunny) of North Wilkesboro; daughter-in-law, Becky Lovette of Wilkesboro; grandchildren, David Austin Lovette Jr. (Layla), Matthew Eric Lovette, Cheyenne Lovette, Tyler Lovette all of North Wilkesboro; great-grandchildren, Austin Lovette III, Alexis Lovette, Karsyn Lovette, Paityn Lovette, Luke Lovette, Levi Lovette, Roman Lovette, Ava Lovette, Colton Lovette and sisters-in-law Melba Johnson of West Jefferson and Dawn Lovette Gardner.
