Brenda Ann (Reavis) Blackburn

Ms. Brenda Ann Blackburn, age 84, of Millers Creek passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Wilkes Health and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Pleasant Home Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Church officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be at in the church cemetery.

Brenda was born on March 11, 1941, in Wilkes County to Quincy and Bertha Byrd Reavis. She was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church. She was an administrative assistant for Wilkes County Government for thirty-five years. Brenda always said, “Never put off until tomorrow, what you can do today.” Her family considered her the best mother and grandmother that has ever been.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna B. McHenry and brother, Danny Reavis

She is survived by her son, Tony A. Blackburn of Wilkesboro; grandchildren, John Patrick McHenry, Matthew William McHenry, William David McHenry; great-grandson, Micah McHenry; sister, Nena Freeze of Statesville and brother, Lanny Reavis of Gastonia.
