Mr. Boyd M. Woodle, age 91 of Roaring River passed away Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Ridge Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, March 14, 2025, at White Plains Baptist Church with Rev. William Souther and Mr. Rayburn Hare officiating. Military honors will be rendered by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard and NC National Guard. The family will receive friends from 11:30 AM until 12:30 PM prior to the service at the church.
He was born November 1, 1933, in Surry County to Ransom Monroe and Verlie Royal Woodle. Boyd was a proud veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a skilled craftsman and loved to spend time fishing. Boyd loved his church family and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He retired from Sears.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy M. Woodle and eight siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Louise Mathis Woodle; two daughters, Donna W. Hare (Rayburn) of Blue Springs, MO; Lisa Davis (Phil) of Flower Mound, TX; nine grandchildren, Carmen Palmer, Chris Hare, Kaylan McKnight, Corbin Hare, Brandon Woodle, Ben Woodle, Braden Woodle, Lanie Woodle, Justin Davis; and ten great grandchildren.
