Mr. Bobby Link Wagoner, age 70 of North Wilkesboro passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Pruitt, Rev. Barry Shew and Rev. Jonathan Smith officiating. Mr. Wagoner will lie-in-state from 1:30 until 2:00 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Bobby was born July 27, 1952 in Wilkes County to Lankford “Link” Miles and Frances Harris Wagoner. He was a Deacon and member of Victory Baptist Church. Bobby loved his church and church family. He worked for 50 years at Jenkins Millwork. Bobby was an avid golfer and a member of Cedarbrook Country Club. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He had a very giving nature and would do anything for anyone. Bobby had an infectious smile and never met a stranger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters; Shirley Johnson, Zettie Wagoner and Betty Broyhill, three brothers; Walter Wagoner, Ward Wagoner and Tony Wagoner.
He is survived by his wife of 48-1/2 years; Janice Wiles Wagoner of the home, a daughter; Heather Brown and husband Clate, a son; Chris Wagoner both of North Wilkesboro, three grandchildren; Zane Brown, Levi Brown and Molly Brown, three sisters; Kay Stone and husband Steven of North Wilkesboro, Fay Mahaffey and husband Gene of Harmony, Diane Roten and husband Mike of North Wilkesboro, two sisters-in-law; Brenda Souther and Renee Foster and many nieces and nephews that were very special to him.
