Mr. Bobby Lee Hutchinson, age 60, of Purlear entered into rest Monday, May 18, 2026, at his home.

Bobby was born August 9, 1965, in Wilkes County to Lee Jackson and Melvina Huffman Hutchinson. 

His greatest joy was working on old cars and being with family and friends. He was very generous in helping friends repair their appliances, mowers, automobiles and big rigs.  There was nothing Bobby could not repair from computers, appliances to high performance engines.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister; Peggy Kanupp.

He is survived by two sisters; Betty Osborne (Gary) of Purlear, Janice Jetton (David) of Lenoir and a nephew Jasson Kanupp who was like a brother. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, May 23. 2026 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church with Pastor Lance Wilson and Pastor Joey Moore officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be, Tracy Adams, Randy Bishop, Danny (Weezie) Eller, Jacob Eller, Blake Faw, Milton Greene, Lloyd Huffman, Dave Jetton, Mike Lambert, Neil Lovette, Bill Mikeal, Rob Mikeal and Paul Yale.
