Bob Deal, 84, of Millers Creek, went home to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, June 21, 2025. 

He was born in Wilkes County on February 28, 1941, to Sloan and Lucille Deal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lizzie Church Deal. 

He was a chicken farmer for many years and raised cattle.  He loved woodworking, and there are many craft items throughout North Carolina and beyond that he made and sold. Bob loved to tell jokes, was friends with everyone he met, and was known for giving out hard candy to all.  He was a member of Greater Vision Baptist Church.  

He is survived by his wife, Sue Deal; his sons, Richey Deal (Jodi) and David Deal (Heather), both of Millers Creek; three grandchildren, Emily Wyles (Luke), Austin Deal (Megan), and Kaylan Williams (Quinton); and seven great-grandchildren Lizzie Anne, Dawson, RJ, Ellie Mae, Taylor, Hunter, and Micah; 2 sisters, Linda Dancy (Harrold) of Thomasville, Sandra Smith (Danny) of Millers Creek and Randy Deal (Lynn) of Millers Creek. Bob is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews whom he loved, and they dearly loved him. 

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at Pilgrim Baptist Church, with Rev. Shane Pardue and Rev. Rex Eldreth officiating. The family will receive family and friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
