Mr. Billy Ray Adams, age 91, of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024, at his home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Jason Bumgarner, and Rev. Charles Younce officiating. Burial with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard will be in Hunting Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Billy was born June 27, 1933, in Cabarrus County to Walter Thomas and Julia Snider Adams. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a faithful member of Hunting Creek Baptist Church. Billy retired with over forty years from American Drew. He never met a stranger and was always optimistic with everyone he was around. Billy will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister; Barbara Gaultney, and a brother; Ransom Adams.
He is survived by his wife: Dorothy Adams of the home, daughter; Annette Adams of Millers Creek, three sons; Mark Adams of Millers Creek, Perry White (Patty) of North Wilkesboro, Ken White (Joy) of Ohio, five grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
