Beverly Faye Stricker Nisley went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 25, 2025.
Beverly was born on April 27, 1938, in Bennet, Nebraska, to Alice (Crabtree) Stricker and Norris “Tom” Stricker. She was the oldest of three children. Throughout her childhood, the family lived in various towns in Wyoming and Nebraska, but Bev spent most of her growing-up years in Omaha, where she attended Mason School and graduated from Tech High School.
On October 13, 1956, Beverly married Ivan Nisley. Together they made their home just outside Bennet, Nebraska, in a house they built themselves. During their 42 years in Bennet, they raised three children and were deeply involved in their church and community. Beverly was active in her children’s activities and served as a leader for Campfire Girls, Boy Scouts, AWANA, and other local clubs.
As a young girl, Bev began attending Sunday School and Bible school at the Salvation Army church across the street from her childhood home. This was the beginning of her lifelong walk with Jesus. She participated in many Bible studies and Christian conferences, continually growing in her love for the Lord. One of her greatest joys was sharing the love of Christ through serving others ranging from working with children to helping in disaster response.
After her children were grown, Bev started a cleaning business, which she operated for several years before she and Ivan retired to Montana. Their retirement years were filled with travel and cherished visits from family and friends.
Following Ivan’s passing, Beverly lived in Loveland, Colorado, and Columbus, Montana, before spending her final years in Wilkesboro, North Carolina. During the last four years of her life, she was tenderly cared for and loved on by her daughter-in-law Sonja and son Bruce.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Nisley; her parents, Norris “Tom” and Alice Stricker; and her siblings, Norris Stricker and Joyce Badder Puhl.
She is survived by her children, Teri Moser, Toni (Mark) Dennis, and Bruce (Sonja) Nisley; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Sharon Stricker, Alice Ficke, and Elaine Yates; and many nieces and nephews.
