Ms. Betty Jean Bullis Wood, age 88 of Moravian Falls, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025, at Wilkes Health and Rehabilitation.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Boomer with Pastor Wade Collins officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church.

Ms. Wood was born December 10, 1936, in Wilkes County to the late Mack and Pansy Ferguson Bullis.  She was a church member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.  She retired from Ithaca Industries.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Wood was preceded in death by two sons, James Randy Brookshire and Terry Allen Wood; one sister, and six brothers.

She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Lynn Wood Little and husband Bill Little of Millers Creek; a grandson, Steven Randy Brookshire; and one sister, Nina Bullis Kimball of Elon College.
