Betty Jones Wiles

Mrs. Betty Jones Wiles, age 76 of Kernersville, passed away Friday, October 8, 2021 at her home.

A graveside service will be held 10:25 AM Friday, October 15, 2021 at Lewis Fork Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Dwayne Andrews officiating.

Betty was born August 28, 1945 in Wilkes County to Richard Clyde and Freda Della Blevins Jones.  An accomplished horse woman and member of the Ladies Auxiliary with wins in a variety of categories.  She had a lifelong love of animals, gardening and nature.   She was an amazing cook and baker with a great pound cake recipe.  She was a lifelong learner and an avid reader, and supporter of the arts. She was a collector of books and fine china.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wright Wiles; and two brothers, Robert Lee Jones and Terry Clyde Jones.

Betty was survived by three daughters, Donna Dee Wiles of Fayetteville, Teresa Renee Wiles of Kernersville, and Cheryl Lynn Wiles of Colfax; five grandchildren, Ashley Dawn Marie Dykens, Gregory Alan Fenn, Tristan Ladd Wiles, Michael Lee Thomas, and Shanna Renee Apichell; two great grandchildren, Charles Alexander Dirrell Dykens, and Thane Thomas,; and one sister, Linda Christenson of Indiana; her beloved pets, Dobbi, Boo, and Sabastian.

Needless to say, she was loved by many and will be remembered with loving memories forever.
