Mrs. Betty Ann Greer Taylor, age 95, of Wilkesboro passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist – Wilkes Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Greater Vision Baptist Church with Pastor Shane Pardue officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 PM prior to the service at the church.
Betty was born on August 3, 1930, in Wilkes County to Roby and Bertha Yates Greer. She was a member at Greater Vision Baptist Church. Mrs. Taylor retired from the State of North Carolina, Department of Corrections, Division of Prisons as the Program Assistant.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Taylor; two sisters, Lou Yates, Marline Huffman and a nephew, Micah Huffman.
She is survived by a sister, Jean Messick of Ferguson; a brother, Wayne Greer (Mary) of Millers Creek; great niece, Elaine Parker (Alan); great great nieces, Taylor Alford (Caleb) and Alyssa Parker; nephews, Alan Greer (Amanda), Derrick Messick (Christina); great great great nephews, Jude Alan Alford, John Daniel Alford and Several other special great nieces and nephews.
