Mrs. Betty Jean Staley Duncan, age 83 of Wilkesboro passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 at her home.
A private family service will be held with Mr. Edwin Taylor officiating. Entombment will be in Scenic Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
Mrs. Duncan was born June 30, 1938 in Wilkes County to Edgar and Alma Reins Staley. She volunteered for 40 plus years at Wilkes Regional Medical Center in the Ladies Auxiliary (Pink Ladies).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Gerald Duncan, Sr.; three brothers, Edgar, Lake, and Bud Staley.
Mrs. Duncan is survived by one daughter, Cathy Lynn Duncan and Alison of Kernersville; two sons, Eric Gerald Duncan, Jr. and wife, Elaine, and Richard Gerald Duncan and wife, Wana all of Wilkesboro; four grandchildren, Daniel Gerald Duncan and wife Ashley of Wilkesboro, Bradley Ross Duncan of Washington, DC, Cara Leigh Duncan of Kernersville, and Corbin Logan Duncan of Kernersville; and five great grandchildren, Nori Elizabeth Duncan, Millie Jane Duncan, Abbie Breanna Duncan, Alicia Braelynn Duncan, and Damon Elijah Duncan; two sisters, Madge Whittington of Wilkesboro, and Jewel Bullis of Moravian Falls.
Family requests no flowers, but memorials may be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis TN, 38105.
