Mrs. Betty Inez Triplett, age 93 of North Wilkesboro passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at Lewis Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne Andrews and Rev. Mark Wood officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:45PM until 1:45 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The public may view Mrs. Blackburn Monday from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Blackburn was born January 28, 1928 in Wilkes County to Dewey Vine and Anna Lillian Whittington Triplett. She loved taking care of her family. She enjoyed painting, gardening, reading, and loved arts and crafts. She was an avid church member and loved her church family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Doyce Blackburn; three sisters, Lutrelle Greene, Edith Foster, and Geniva Brown; and a brother, Stuart Triplett.
She is survived by four children, Danny Blackburn and wife Sandra of Wilkesboro, David Blackburn of Wilkesboro, Derrick Blackburn and wife Misty of Boomer, and Michael Blackburn and wife Judy of Wilkesboro; ten grandchildren, Jason, Jonah, Joel, Nathan, Aaron, Jessica, Coby, Luke, Sherry, and Samantha; fifteen great grandchildren, Morgan, Noah, Dylan, Toree, Cora, Makynlie, Kasen, Connor, MJ, Austin, Logan, Josh, Bryson, Alexis, and Joshua; several nieces and nephews; and a sister Norma Jean Wood of Wilkesboro.
