Mrs. Betty Sue Lovette Dancy, age 87 of North Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, October 26, 2023 at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. James Wingler and Rev. Doug Nab officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home. Burial will be in Charity Community Church Cemetery in Millers Creek.

Mrs. Dancy was born September 15, 1936, in Iredell County to Reuben and Rosa Helen Hendren Anderson. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Frank Lovette and Carl Dancy; three sisters, Rosla (Archie) Moore, Pansy (Bud) Moore, Christine Morgan; four brothers, Avery Chambers, Ernest Anderson, Bobby Anderson, Jerry Anderson; and one grandson, Kevin Holbrook.

She is survived by two daughters, Pat (Cecil) Holbrook of Millers Creek and Vickie (Randy) Roten of North Wilkesboro; one brother, Jim (Betty) Anderson of Flushing, MI; three grandchildren, Wesley (Heather) Holbrook, Lauren Roten (Summer Faw), and Hannah Roten; four great-grandchildren, Christian Holbrook, Caleb Holbrook, Dylan Holbrook, and Cora Holbrook.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Hillcrest Baptist Church, 517 Corporation Street, Wilkesboro, NC  28697.
