Betty Ann Billings

Betty Ann Billings, age 89 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025.  Ms. Billings was born October 2,1935, to Lloyd and Winnie Billings.  She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Hays.

Betty was always known for her determination and pleasant but quiet disposition.  She enjoyed watching westerns on TV and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She was a devoted caretaker for many years for her mother and brother. Betty enjoyed cooking and could make the best cornbread you’ve ever tasted. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Lee Yerkey, Iva Johnson, and Virginia Johnson; and four brothers, Wallace, Lawrence, Vern, and Maden Billings, and son-in-law, Bud Brock. 

Ms. Billings is survived by her daughters, Penny Billings Brock of Moravian Falls and Deborah Billings Royal and spouse Jerry of North Wilkesboro; grandson, Joe Brock and spouse Matt Kemberling of Clemmons; granddaughter, Jessica Brock Rowe and spouse Marcus Rowe of Moravian Falls; great-granddaughters, McKinley Chambers of Wilkesboro and Sydney Rowe of Moravian Falls; great-grandsons, Kenyan Rowe and Canaan Rowe of Moravian Falls; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Ms. Billings will be held on Thursday, January 9th at 3:00 pm at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Traphill. The family will receive friends following the service.
