Benny Thomas Hayes

Mr. Benny Thomas Hayes, age 79, of Hays passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025, at his home. 

A private graveside service will be held.  

Benny was born April 1, 1945, in Wilkes County to Pet Council and Gladys Handy Hayes. He was a loving husband, daddy, and pawpaw. Benny was a member of Round Hill Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife; Elizabeth Cheek Hayes of the home, two daughters; Wendy Billings(Jamie) of Traphill, Tana Parlier (Randy) of Elkin, two sons; Pat Hayes (Scot Shelley) of Raleigh, Wes Hayes (Sandra) of Hays, nine grandchildren; Cody Billings, Benny Hayes, Brittney Hayes, Daulton Hayes, Brandon Hayes, Amber Hayes, Baye Sturgill, Braysen Parlier, Paisleigh Parlier, and multiple great-grandchildren, and one brother; Dickie Hayes (Cathie) of Hays.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Round Hill Baptist Church, 1779 Roundhill Church Road, Traphill, NC 28685.
