Mr. Bennett “Ben” Harmon Nance, age 80, of North Wilkesboro passed away Monday, June 8, 2026, at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel. Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 Honor Guard and the United States Navy Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 PM prior to the service.
Ben was born on July 28, 1945, in Webster County, Kentucky, to William B. Nance and Dora Harmon Nance. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in Vietnam. Ben also loved hanging out at Roman Road Restoration shop. He often ate at Glenn’s Restaurant.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Pandora Nance, Vicky Boles and brothers, Billy Ray Nance and Kenneth Bruce Nance.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Nance (Beth) of Nokomis, FL; grandchildren, Gunnar Nance, Frankie Nance and Emmett Nance.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wilkes County Cruisers, 845 Brown Ridge Road, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.
