Mr. Benjamin “Ben” Wade Call, age 36 of Wilkesboro, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist – Winston Salem.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Pastor Brady Hayworth and Rev. Justin Clary officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service.

Mr. Call was born July 5, 1987, in Wilkes County to Kenneth Benjamin Call and Marisa Parsons Hart.  He loved traveling and seeing the world. One of his favorite past times was freshwater and saltwater fishing.   He had a bubbly personality and never met a stranger. He loved to sing, make up songs and was kind to all animals.  Most of all Ben loved his family. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Benjamin Call; his paternal grandparents, Julius and Kathleen Call; maternal great-grandparents, Rev. Clate and Nona Brown, Charlie and Annie Ruth Parsons, and step-grandmother, Peggy Darnell Hart.

He is survived by his mother, Marisa Parsons Hart and step-father, Ricky, of the home; one son, Benjamin Tyler Call, of North Wilkesboro; one sister, Patience Abigail Hart of Wilkesboro; one step-sister, Christi Danielle Hart of Wilkesboro; one brother Joshua Kenneth Call (Lacey Madden) of Brewton, AL; one step-brother, Corey David Hart (Tammy Bumgarner) of North Wilkesboro;  maternal grandparents, Wade and Judy Brown Parsons of Wilkesboro; step-grandfather, Paul David Hart of Laurel Springs; special aunts and uncles, Jill Parsons Oakley (Ricky) of Millers Creek, Deborah Hart of Aroyo Grande, CA, Kelly Hart Surber (Sammy) of West Jefferson, and Derek Wade Parsons (Bonnie) of Apex;  four nieces, Bailey Church, Cailey Hart, Raven Wyatt, and Hayden Hart; one nephew, Gage Saner; special friend, Samantha Hyde; many cousins and extended family; and well-loved pets Buddy, Smokey, Pup Pup and Buck. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made in his name to First National Bank, c/o Kelly Owens, 301 West Main Street, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.  Make checks payable to Marisa Hart.
