Barbara Moore Pless

Mrs. Barbara Moore Pless, age 90 of Wilkesboro passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, at Wilkes Health & Rehabilitation.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. 

Barbara was born July 5, 1935, in Wilkes County to Dr. Roy H. Moore and Erma Jones Moore.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter; Laura Lynne Pless, a sister; Linda Carol Nye, a brother; Bill Moore and two daughters-in-law; Denise Pless and Nancy Jenkins Pless. 

She is survived by three sons; Glenn Pless of Wilkesboro, Robert Pless, Jr. and wife Glenda of Wilkesboro, Steve Pless of Montrose, IL, five grandchildren; Amy Speer, Alex Pless, Jessica Connor, Kaitlyn Stanciu, Ian Chandler Pless and eight great grandchildren. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
