Barbara Miller Minton

Mrs. Barbara Miller Minton, age 78, of Moravian Falls passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at her home. 

Graveside services will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Moravian Falls Cemetery with Rev. Reggie Johnson officiating. 

Barbara was born April 6, 1947, in Wilkes County, NC to Acie and Nola Spears Miller.  Barbara was a member of Poplar Grove Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband; Thomas “Edwin” Minton, a daughter; Lora Ann Minton, three sisters; Gaynelle Carroll, Chessie Call, Jessie Minton and two brothers; Bryant Miller and Estel Miller. 

She is survived by her husband; David “Warner” Minton of the home, a daughter; Penny Holleman (Dennis) of Moravian Falls, two sons; Tom Minton (Lori) of Ferguson, Blake Minton (Monica) of Moravian Falls, four grandchildren; Leanna Barker (David), Thomas Minton (Morgan), Marina Shumate (Ryan) Katlynn Holleman and fiancé; (Billy Mitchell), great grandchildren; Hunter Barker, Paisley Barker, Ireland Holleman, Jackson Minton, London Minton, Reed Shumate, Cali Shumate and a sister; Geraldine Hamby (Steve) of Statesville. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Poplar Grove Baptist Church, 195 Poplar Grove Church Road, Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
