Miss Asphyn Raylie Combs, age 7 of Millers Creek passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024, Atrium Health Wake-Forest Baptist Medical Center Winston Salem. 

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Jerry Harris and Rev. Rodney Raby officiating. Burial will be in Davis Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, April 8, 2024, at Reins- Sturdivant Funeral Home. 

Asphyn was born January 12, 2017, in Wilkes County to Cory Ray and Leslie Marie Harris Combs. She was a first- grade student at Millers Creek Elementary School. Asphyn was a beautiful, smart, kind 7- year- old little girl who would light up any room with her beautiful smile and bright blue eyes. Anyone who knows Asphyn knows she loves her twin sissy Savannah more than anything and they had the most special bond. Her paw and maw were her favorite people other than her mommy. She loved to pick on her daddy and joke with him. She enjoyed spending her weekends riding and working with the horses with her big sisters Cheyanne and Dakota and her paw paw. She loved sneaking and laying in the bed with her big sister Montana. She had the most contagious laugh while playing video games with big brothers Colton and Branson. She adored her baby brothers Karson and Kaiser. Asphyn was the most kind, compassionate little girl with a heart of pure gold. Asphyn gave the best hugs and was always willing to be a good friend to everyone. Now Asphyn has the most beautiful angel wings. 

Asphyn was preceded in death by paternal grandparents; Gary Combs, Margaret Pruitt, maternal great-grandparents; Anthony Davis, Rev. Clyde Harris, paternal great-grandparents;Thomas and Cheryl Pruitt, and a cousin; Kasen Harris. 

She is survived by her parents, sisters; Cheyanne Huffman, Montana Huffman, Dakota Huffman, twin sister Savannah Combs all of the home, brothers; Colton Huffman, Branson Harris, Karson Harris, Kaiser Harris all of the home, maternal grandparents; Mark and Frances Davis Harris of Millers Creek, maternal great-grandparents; Shirley Minton Davis of Millers Creek, Carolyn Roten Harris of Purlear, paternal great-grandparents; Everette and Josephine Combs of Roaring River, aunt; Karrie Harris and husband Marcus of Millers Creek, uncles; Marcus Harris  and wife Karrie of Millers Creek, Jarrett Combs of Roaring River, cousins; Alston Harris, Corbin Harris, Carter Harris, Avery Harris, Rylee Harris, Bryson Combs, and Zaydon Combs. 

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Brenner Children’s Hospital, Medical Center Boulevard, Winston Salem, NC 27157.
