Mr. Arvell Leonard Street, age 85 of Hays passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Marsh and Rev. Roger Jennings officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 1:00 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Arvell was born February 21, 1938 in Mitchell County to Coy Festus and Bessie Hughes Street. He was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Peggy Combs Street, an infant son; Terry Michael Street, two sisters and brothers-in-law; Trula Hughes and Ralph, Shelby Lewis and Richard, two brothers; Larry Street, Wade Street and a son-in-law; Blane Aldridge.
He is survived by a daughter; Debra Aldridge of Lenoir, two sons; Jerry Street and wife Tracie of Morganton, Garry Street and Melissa Higgins of Hays, nine grandchildren; Katelyn Aldridge, Summer Richardson and husband Matthew, Brooke Ishikura and husband Dustin, Savannah Street, Stephanie Deph, La’Sha Sexton, Katie Higgins, Zachery Elledge, Tasha Walters, eight great children; Ivy, Reid, Atlee, Jayden, Azariah, James Maddox, Genesis, Alyen Sexton and two sisters; Betty Pendley and husband Gabriel, Judy Harper and Michael Hall.
Pallbearers will be: Jamie Church, Matt Richardson, Zackery Elledge, Chad Blevins, Justin Blevins, Lance Byrd, Shane Penley, Ronnie Hughes, Larry Cothren, Mike Hall, Rhett Harper and Mark Bryant
