Mr. Archie Hansel Williams, age 94 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Zion Baptist Church with Pastor Sammy Taylor and Rev. Ronnie McMannis. Archie will Lie in State from 1:30 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mr. Williams was born July 19, 1931, in Wilkes County to William McKinley and Lacy Glass Williams. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church. He served our country in the United States Air Force. Archie never met a stranger. He always asked a person three questions: what’s your name, who are you kin to, and where do you go to church?
In addition to his parents, Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Mae Harrold Williams; and siblings, Rex Williams, Roger Williams, Bonnie Williams Davis, Edwin Williams, Peggie Williams Gambini, and John Williams.
He is survived by sons, Pat Williams and wife Peggy of North Wilkesboro, Mike Williams and wife Donna of Rush Springs, OK, Jimmy Williams and wife Betty of Zebulon, Roger Williams and wife Dolores of Moravian Falls, and Allen Williams and wife Gail of North Wilkesboro; grandchildren, Lewis Williams, Billy Williams, Jared Williams, Stephanie Rose, Holly Piotrowski, Matthew Williams, Adam Williams, Andrew Williams, Heather Nottingham, Belinda Domm, Kenneth Vaughn, Brittany Draper, Daniel Jordan, Travis Jordan, Charlie Byrd, and Joe Calhoun; a host of great-grandchildren;
one brother, Norman Williams of North Wilkesboro; a host of adopted extended family and friends, special loved ones, Benny and Debbie Harrold and Bruce and Cathy Calhoun, all of Hays.
