Archie Glen Johnson

Mr. Archie Glen Johnson ”8-Ball”, age 79 of Wilkesboro passed away Wednesday July 27, 2022 at his home.

Graveside services with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Fishing Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. David Wellborn officiating.

He was born August 10, 1942  in Wilkes County to Julius and Hazel Johnson.

Archie served in the US Army from 1962 until 1965 as Sgt. Archie G. Johnson. He graduated from East Wilkes High School in 1960.

In addition to his parents; he is preceded in death by two sisters; Carol Johnson Wells, and Shirley Johnson Johnson, two brothers; Julius J. Johnson, Jr.“Ike”, and Hayden Holland Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years; Mary Frances Hartley Johnson of the home, a daughter; Kimberly Johnson Mastin and husband Christopher of Wilkesboro, a son; Brandon Glen Johnson and wife Christy of McGrady, two grandchildren; Taylor Elizabeth Mastin, and Zachary James Mastin, and a sister; Loretta Johnson Osborne of Oak Island, SC.
