Mr. Anthony Michael Brown, age 36 of Wilkesboro, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Atrium Health-Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 8 at Assembly of God’s Word Church with Rev. Tommy Mikeal and Chaplain Peggy Mikeal officiating. Burial will be at Mountlawn Memorial Park. Family will receive 11:30 to 1:30 prior at the church.
Anthony was born October 28, 1984 in Wilkes County. Mr. Brown was an avid carp fisherman with his father. He loved coming to his mom's house to eat home cooked meals, especially holidays. He had many interests including Ashe High Country Cowboys, WASP wrestling, actor at Hillside Horror, coaching his children's many sports teams over the years and so much more. He had the biggest heart, a giving spirit, and was a supportive friend, who will be missed by so many. He was a member of Assembly of God's Word Church.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Donald and Josephine Brown, one aunt; Gail Cleary, two uncles; Sandy Brown and Hal Blackburn.
Anthony is survived by his mother Shirlene Holland Brown; his father, Michael Dean Brown and his wife Kelley, two daughters, MacKenzie Spainhour-Brown, Moriah Brown; one son Michael Brown all of Yadkinville; one sister, Jennifer Shirlene Potter and husband Jimmy of Granite Falls; maternal grandmother Shirley Holland of Wilkesboro; nieces and nephews, Alexis Gail Potter, Ethan Lee Potter and Aiden Allen Shumate all of Granite Falls; and Fiance` Cassandra Eldreth and her two children, Joseph and Lucy. Anthony was also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family requests anyone attending the service to please wear a face covering.
