Annie Ruth Hayes Richardson

Ms. Annie Ruth Hayes Richardson of North Wilkesboro passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026.   

Private Graveside services will be held at Mountlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Robert Duncan and Mr. Brandon Sheets officiating. 

Annie Ruth was born in Wilkes County to Rector R. Hayes and Nellie M. Johnson Hayes on April 27, 1939.  She was a member of Oakwoods Baptist Church.     

Ms. Richardson was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and brother-in-law; Olene H. Reeves and husband Roy of Millers Creek, a brother and sister-in-law; Cecil R. Hayes and wife, Stella of Lenoir. 

She is survived by a sister; Martha H. McCann and husband Carl of Wilkesboro, two brothers; Billy Hayes and wife Kay, Jimmy Hayes and wife Brenda both of Wilkesboro.  Many nephews and nieces and a special friend; Cecil Dancy and his family of North Wilkesboro. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, P.O. Box 325, Dobson, NC 27017.
