Mrs. Annie Horton Lipford, age 100 of Ferguson passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her home. 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with  Pastor Juanita Melton, Pastor Fred Howell, Rev. Roger Horton, Rev. Terry Hunt, Pastor Cliniece Bradshaw and Evangelist Stephanie Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Harley Lipford Cemetery in Ferguson. 

Annie was born May 3, 1921 in Wilkes County to Zade and Lizzie Emma Thomas Horton. Annie celebrated her 100th birthday this past May.   

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; Harley Mansfield Lipford, a daughter; Lizzette Saner, a son; Lonnie Lipford, five grandchildren, one great grandchild, three sisters, five brothers and two sons-in-law; Clyde Vaught and Richard Gibbs. 

She is survived by seven daughters; Louise Jones and husband AY of Morganton, Pastor Juanita Melton and husband Ray of Ferguson, Elizabeth Gibbs of Ferguson, Lucy Vaught of Lenoir, Judy Horton and Pastor Roger of Ferguson, Inez Mayes and husband Edward of Taylorsville, Patty Howell and Rev. Fred of Ferguson, two sons; Clyde Lipford and wife Ann of Ferguson, Jeff Lipford and wife Maria of Morganton, thirty-one grandchildren, forty-four great grandchildren, fifteen great great grandchildren and a son-in-law; Kenneth Saner.
