Annie Bell Obituary
Mrs. Annie Ruth Porter Bell, age 88, widow of Thomas Lee Bell, Sr., died Friday, April 3, 2020 at Wilkes Health and Rehabilitation.
The public may view Mrs. Bell on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home anytime from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM. A private funeral service will be held at White Plains Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Bell was born on October 24, 1931 in Wilkes County to Oid and Vella Johnson Porter. She was a church member at White Plains Baptist Church. She loved writing stories and songs and was a lifetime member of the Nashville Songwriter’s Association.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lee Bell, Sr.
She is survived by her son, Thomas Lee Bell, Jr. of North Wilkesboro; two sisters, Beulah Porter Hemric of North Wilkesboro and Mildred Porter Pierce of Roaring River; one brother, Wayne Porter; and several nieces and nephews.
