Mrs. Alma McNeil Caudill, age 97, of Purlear passed away Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Villages of Wilkes.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Monday, March 24, 2025, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Hadley Triplett officiating. Burial will be in the Millers Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Alma was born June 20, 1927, in Wilkes County to Wiley Estel and Golda Hurt McNeil. She was a member of Purlear Baptist Church. She worked in Florida at Commercial Bank of Daytona, and continued banking in North Wilkesboro. She retired from Northwestern Surveying and Mapping as an Administrative Assistant. Alma loved cooking, traveling, flowers, and plants.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; B.H. (John) Caudill, four brothers; Wiley McNeil, Herbert McNeil, Paul McNeil, and Allie McNeil.
She is survived by two daughters; Pam Caudill Chapman and husband, David of Winston-Salem, Debbie Caudill Adams and husband, Joe of North Augusta, SC, three grandchildren; Frank Adams (Rebecca) of Greenville, John Paul Adams (Kim) of North Augusta, Jacob Chapman of Wilmington, and five great-grandchildren; Cooper Adams, Jay Adams, McCayne Adams, Peyton Adams, and Carson Adams.
