Mrs. Allie Laws Wingler, age 98, of Purlear passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Wilkes Medical Center. 

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Purlear Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie McGuire and Rev. Rex Eldreth officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the service at the church. 

Allie was born August 11, 1926, in Wilkes County to Milas Robert and Flora Yates Laws. She was a member of Purlear Baptist Church. She retired from Lowe’s Companies. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Howard Eugene Wingler, three sisters; Pearl Laws, Mae Crane, Florence Laws, six brothers; Croby Laws, Coy Laws, Clausie Laws, Wade Laws, Anderson Laws, Robert Laws, daughter-in-law; Sandi Laws, and son-in-law; Rex Phillips. 

She is survived by three daughters; JoAnn Wooten and husband Charles of North Wilkesboro, Mary Phillips of Millers Creek, Martha Jones and husband Nicky of Millers Creek, three sons; Bruce Laws and wife Sheila of Jefferson, Eugene Wingler and wife Carlla of Purlear, Michael Wingler and wife Vickie of Purlear, fourteen grandchildren; Joseph Laws, Jody Binkley, Derek Wooten, Drew Phillips, Nicolas Jones, Holly Toombs, Heather Staley, Patrick Jones, Lance Wingler, Bradley Wingler, Keri Wingler, Katie Emelianov, Heather Fisher, Heidi Houser, fourteen great-grandchildren; Cameron Laws, Allie Binkley, Cassie Gammons, Sarah Binkley, Abby Cook, Brock Jones, Quinn Toombs, Eliza Toombs, Bailey Wingler, Cooper Wingler, Wyatt Wingler, Arty Emelianov, Hailey Fisher, Lilly Fisher, and special niece; Patty Whittington.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Purlear Baptist Church, C/O of Denise Eller, P. O. Box 181, Millers Creek, NC 28651. 

Pallbearers will be Joseph Laws, Derek Wooten, Drew Phillips, Nicolas Jones, Patrick Jones, Lance Wingler, Bradley Wingler, Cameron Laws, and Brock Jones.
