Mrs. Alice Mazingo Hayes, age 81 of Wilkesboro passed away November 14, 2022, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

A Celebration of Life service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Mike Hamby officiating.

Alice was born July 28, 1941, in Richland, NC to Robert Eugene and Edna Earl Riggs Mazingo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by; one grandchild; Jasmine Shores; one sister; Virginia Cole.

Alice is survived by her husband Gerald “Jerry” Calvin Hayes of the home; three daughters; Lisa Shores of Millers Creek, Sherrie Reid of Wilkesboro and Trissie Shaver of Wilmington; one son; Robert Brinson of Salisbury; nine grandchildren; Wendy Billings, Natalie Garvin, Zach Shores, Abigail Smithey, Micheal Brinson, John Ross Anderson, Dylan Brinson, Dalton Brinson and Alec Anderson; ten great-grandchildren; Jaxon Lambert, Elizabeth Lambert, Madeline Lambert, Hailey Paige Billings, Noah Lenderman, Calvin Shores, Camila Shores, Riley Shae Bisesi, Scarlett Smithey and Fallon Smithey; one great-great grandchild; Elijah Lambert; two sisters; Julia Brinson and husband Bobby of VA, Linda Hanner and husband Tom of Asheville; three brothers; Bill Haney of AL. Gary Haney of North Wilkesboro and Ken Haney of Elkin.
