Alfonso Carlton

Mr. Alfonso Carlton, better known as “Ben” age 76 of Boomer passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Catawba Medical Center in Hickory.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Monte Simmons and Rev. Ronald Howell officiating. Burial will be in Thankful Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, May 31, 2021 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mr. Carlton was born March 7, 1945 in Maybury, WV to Eugene and Ruthie Parsons Carlton.  He was a member of Thankful Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Terry Tyrone Carlton and one brother, Edward Carlton.

Mr. Carlton is survived by his wife, Lula Carlton Carlton; two grandchildren, Jordan Andrew Carlton and Layton Tierra Carlton; one sister, Patricia Hendrix of Boomer; two brothers, Edlee Carlton and wife Sallie of Boomer; Damon Carlton and wife Maxine of Boomer.
