Mrs. Alene Eller Faw, wife of Bobby Faw of Millers Creek, age 73 passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1:00 PM Monday, March 1, 2021 at Millers Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Shannon Critcher, Rev Jim Gore, and Rev. Jim Hamby officiating.
Alene was born December 6, 1947 in Wilkes County to Carmet Franklin and Allie Mae Eller.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Pierce and Betty Shumate, and one brother, Wayne Eller.
Alene is survived by her husband, Bobby Faw of the home; two daughters, Robin Church and husband William of Wilkesboro and Julie Triplett and husband Tracy of Wilkesboro; three grandchildren, Banks Church and wife Adrian, Jackson Church and Allison Church; and one great grandchild, Haylyn Church; and several nieces and nephews.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was happiest when serving her family. Alene was a faithful member of Millers Creek Baptist Church where she served as church clerk for a number of years. She was a devoted Christian who loved her Sunday school class and enjoyed spending much time in Bible study and prayer. Alene served for over 20 years as clerk to the Board of Commissioners for Wilkes County.
