Mr. Albert Cecil Vestal, Jr. better known as “Bot” age 87 of Wilkesboro passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Westwood Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Vestal was born June 11, 1933 in Wilkes County to Albert Cecil Vestal, Sr. and Minnie Howell Smoak Vestal. He was a member of Wilkesboro United Methodist Church. Bot was a veteran of the United States Army. He was stationed in Korea during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Vestal and a sister, Diane Vestal Inscore.
Bot is survived by his wife, Joann Porter Vestal of the home; a daughter, Vanya Vestal Baker and husband, Robert of Wilkesboro; a son Darryl Brian Vestal and wife Andrea of Murrels Inlet, SC; five grandchildren, Michael Baker and wife Regina, Katie Vestal, David Baker, Chase Kimbrell and wife Tara, and Levi Vestal; four great-grandchildren, Penelope Wilson, Lincoln Wilson, Kingston Kimbrell, and Sophia Kimbrell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association PO Box 2361, North Wilkesboro, and NC 28659.
