Agnes Sheets Mash

Mrs. Agnes Sheets Mash, age 91 of North Wilkesboro, died on May 1, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist – Wilkes Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Severt Family Cemetery in Ashe County with Rev. Danny Dillard officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until noon at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Mash was born March 16, 1930 in Wilkes County to Eugene Sheets and Rosie Dancy Sheets.  She worked at Holly Farms for over thirty years.  She loved to garden and attend racing but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Mash; one daughter, Audrey (Sissy) Mash Jones and son-in-law, Donnie Jones; one sister, Zola Billings; and one brother, Willie “June” Sheets.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Wilma Clanton, JoAnn Hutchinson, Kenneth Sheets and fiancé Christine Bare, Rev. Jerry Roten, and Rev. Arlie Roten; her sister-in-laws, Georgia Sheets and Linda Rector; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews; and her extended family, the Jones family.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy NC 27030.
