Mrs. Ada “Carolyn” Girtman Griffin, age 77 of McGrady, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2026, in Sevierville, TN. 

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, April 11, 2026, at Scenic Memorial Gardens with Rev. Dickie Brown officiating. 

Carolyn was born September 22, 1948, in Ashe County to Ronald Girtman, Sr. and Ruth Hart Girtman. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Don Cecil Griffin; daughter, Melissa Griffin; son, Jonathan Griffin; great-grandson, Tucker Don Griffin; and a brother, Ronald Girtman, Jr. 

She is survived by her daughter, Kim Hincher (Richard) of Hays, son, Tim Griffin (Levonda) of McGrady; grandchildren, Abi Williamson (Drew), Jonathan Griffin (April), Adrianna Griffin; step-granddaughter, Adrianna Rutherford; great-grandchildren, Jonathan Griffin, Jr, Hunter Griffin, Grayson Griffin, Lacey Griffin, Jaxon, Skyler, Penelope, and Max.
