Obituary for Coleen Fairchild Hayes

Coleen Fairchild Hayes, age 85 of North Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Mountlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Jim Gore and Rev. Jeff Collins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Saturday evening at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hayes was born June 1, 1932 in Wilkes County to Rufus Albert and Nannie Mae Huffman Fairchild. She was retired from the Wilkes County Board of Education where she taught second grade at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School for 40 years. Mrs. Hayes was a member of Hinshaw Street Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband; T. Calvin Hayes.
Mrs. Hayes is survived by several cousins.
