Obituary for Ralph Absher

Mr. Ralph Absher, age 88 of Wilkesboro, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at his home.
Graveside services with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142, will be held 1:00 Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Mountlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Linwood Campbell officiating.
Mr. Absher was born July 25, 1929 in Wilkes County to Charles Horton and Maude Victoria Lankford Absher. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served in the Korean War. Mr. Absher was retired from the North Wilkesboro ABC store, where he worked as the Assistant Manager. After retirement, Ralph enjoyed attending Western Film Festivals with his friends and watching his western film collection.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son; Mark Anthony Absher, one sister and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife; Peggy Margaret Groce Absher of the home, a son; Barry Absher and wife Kim of Wilkesboro, a grandson; Anthony (Garrett) Absher of Wilkesboro and a brother; David Absher of Henderson, NV.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wake Forest Baptist Care at Home Hospice, 126 Executive Drive Suite 110 Wilkesboro, NC 28697.
