Robert Lee Jenkins

Mr. Robert Lee Jenkins, age 82 of Hays passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019 at SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville.  

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Donnie Shumate and Rev. Shane Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Tuesday evening at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.  

Mr. Jenkins was born March 19, 1937 in Allegany County to Virgil and Vadie Royal Jenkins.  He retired after 41 years from Tyson Foods as a Grow-Out Manager, he loved bee-keeping and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Betty Billings Jenkins a sister; Georgia Lovette and one brother; Conley Jenkins.  

Mr. Jenkins is survived by two sons; Richard Lee Jenkins and wife Lori of Yadkinville and Gregory Scott Jenkins and wife Jeanne of Lakeland, FL, three grandchildren; Cammi Leigh Jenkins, Emma Michelle Jenkins and Trevor Scott Jenkins, step grandchildren; Zack Hollar and Justin Gambill, step great-grandchildren; Kelsey Grace Hollar and Allison Faith Hollar, one sister; Faye Darnell of Charlotte, three brothers; Luther Jenkins of North Wilkesboro, Bill Jenkins of Georgia and J.C. Jenkins of North Wilkesboro.    

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 243 North Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
