Mrs. Daisy Charline Holloway Cheek, age 68, of Traphill died Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at her home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 2:00 PM, February 2, 2013 at Rachel Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Wiles and Rev. Billy Osborne officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cheek was born November 28, 1944 in Forsyth County to Arzie and Lottie Blackburn Holloway. She was a member of Rachel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Glady Renee Cheek, Lisa Dawn Cheek; two sisters, Bobbie Tharpe, Corine Blackmer and one brother, Voyd Holloway.
She is survived by: her husband, Lester Eugene Cheek of the home; two daughters, Cindy Call of Traphill, Penny Poplin of Austinville, VA; two sons, Jimmy Cheek and wife, Lola, Rocky Cheek and wife, Dotty all of Roaring River; three Sisters, Katie Cleary and husband, E. J. of Hays, Nora Riddle of Ronda, Donna Bauguess of Winston-Salem; three brothers, Grady Holloway of Roaring River, Alvin Holloway and wife, Sadie of Elkin, Gerald Holloway and wife, Pat of San Antonio, TX; 10 grandchildren, Michael Poplin, Bradley Poplin, Casey Poplin, Travis Cheek, Dale Cheek, Kelly Cheek Richardson, Justin Cheek, Tiffany Stotler, Kayla Kipp, Brooke Call; 13 great-grandchildren, Olivia Poplin, Jasmine Poplin, Carson Poplin, Caybree Poplin, Sammy Cheek, Stockton Richardson, Lillie Richardson, Maci Cheek, Annabelle Royal, Hunter Stotler, Daisy Kipp, Ashlyn Kipp and Kielie Dore.
