Obituary for Minter "ML" Leonard Blevins

Mr. Minter Leonard (ML) Blevins, Jr, age 88 of Hays passed away Friday, February 2, 2108 at his home.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Julius Blevins and Rev. Brian Blankenship officiating.

Mr. Blevins was born June 9, 1929 in Forsyth County to Rev. Minter Leonard and Pearl Handy Blevins. He served in the United States Army and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and where his Dad pastored the church for 14 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife; Peggy Woodruff Blevins and brother; Clyde Hilery Blevins.

He is survived by his wife; Mary Haynes Blevins of the home, two sons; Lenny Blevins of Charleston, SC, Donald Blevins of Mt. Airy, five grandchildren; Hillary Blevins Deegan and husband Christopher Mason Blevins, Beau Blevins, Austin Blevins, Autumn Blevins Crandall and husband Courtney, two great grandchildren; Marissa Crandall and Lucas Crandall and one brother; Bob Blevins and wife Ann of Winston-Salem.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideon’s International North Camp, PO Box 1791, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659.

The family would like to Thank Christy Hatley for the wonderful care she gave to ML during his illness.
