Obituary for Lois Perry Absher

Mrs. Lois Perry Absher, age 79 of Wilkesboro, passed away Friday, June 22, 2018.

Funeral services will held 2:00 PM Monday, June 25, 2018 at Reins Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Homer Maltba and Rev. Allen Shepherd officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery in Traphill. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 prior to the service at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mrs. Absher was born May 23, 1939 in Alleghany County to Lonnie Roosevelt Perry and Molly Luemer Royal Perry . She was employed by Tyson Foods. Mrs. Absher was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; Oliver Houston Absher, a son; Terry Dean Roland, two grandchildren; Bradley Ferguson and Joshua Absher and a sister; Vickie Clonch.

She is survived by a daughter; Genia Ferguson and husband Tim of Glen Allen, VA, three sons; James Roland of Wilkesboro, Troy Absher of Wilkesboro and Benny Absher and wife Sally of Wilkesboro, nine grandchildren; Robert James Roland, Ricky Church, Martha Roland, Michael Absher, Christopher Ferguson, Bryan Absher, Bradley Ferguson, Christy Absher and Tana Osborne, a sister; Haley Royal and husband Edward of Wilkesboro and two brothers; J.C. Perry and wife Dorothy and Willard Perry and wife Carrie all of Wilkesboro.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 4600 Park Road Suite 250 Charlotte, NC 28209.
