Obituary for Jimmy Jason Tolbert

Mr. Jimmy Jason Tolbert, age 90 of Millers Creek, passed away Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 at SECU Hospice Home of Yadkinville.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Millers Creek United Methodist Church Hwy 16 North with Rev. Cokie Bristol officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Saturday evening at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1142 will be held in the church cemetery.
Mr. Tolbert was born April 2, 1928 in Guilford County to Nat K. and Belva Dean Eller Tolbert. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served in WWII and Korea. Mr. Tolbert retired from Cooks Inc. and was a member of Millers Creek United Methodist Church where he served as church treasurer for 35 years. In addition, he was a charter member of the Millers Creek Fire Department and enjoyed wood working and wood carving as a hobby.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Jamie Ethel Clark Tolbert, a son; David Tolbert and a brother; Max Tolbert.
He is survived by two brothers; Bill Tolbert of Millers Creek and Gary Tolbert and wife Debbie of Leland and several nieces and nephews.
