Obituary for James Roger Cox

Mr. Roger Cox, age 69 of North Wilkesboro crossed the finish line on Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at Wilkes Senior Village. Roger stood up his tall strong 6’ 4½” frame and put up a valiant fight against 3 types of cancer over the past 8 years and was the epitome of a survivor.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 31, 2018 at First Baptist Church of North Wilkesboro with Dr. Bert Young officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. Amy was the love of his life and the two were quite simply inseparable. He took great joy in being Deidra & Carey’s father and was the best Papa to his 4 grands, making himself available for on-demand back rubs at any time.
