Obituary for Clayton Henry Faw

Mr. Clayton Henry Faw, age 83 of Millers Creek, husband of Edna Rash Faw, died Friday, October 6, 2017 at Senior Villages of Wilkes.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday at Mountain Valley Baptist Church with the Rev. Scott Church, the Rev. Joey Moore, and the Rev. Mike Church officiating. The body will lie in state at the church from 1:30 until 2:00. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5:00 until 7:00 at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.

Mr. Faw was born February 2, 1934 in Wilkes County, NC to Vincent Troy and Lula Mae Mastin Faw. He retired from Coca-Cola after 34 years and from Wilkes Power Equipment. Mr. Faw played guitar and was lead singer for the Stone Mountain Travelers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Sherry Lee.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Rash Faw, of the home; two daughters, Kathy Nichols of Wilkesboro and Carolyn Killen of Millers Creek; one grandson, Derek Nichols and wife, Amanda, of Davidson; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Keegan Nichols; one sister, Ruby Faw Roten of Millers Creek; and one brother, Albert Faw and wife, Becky; one niece, Janine Faw Cannon; and three nephews, Leslie Roten, Tim Faw, and Stephen Faw.
